1. Station Offline, No LED on Reset
- Confirm that the battery level is sufficient. Use only good quality, 1.5V non-rechargeable batteries. Check that the polarity of both the regular and dummy batteries is correct.
- If the station remains offline, bypass the battery box and install three 1.5V non-rechargeable batteries directly into the station.
2. Breathing LED
- A breathing LED signifies the station's attempt to connect to the Helium network. Check that the frequency settings are correct and confirm there is network coverage.
- Ensure the station is positioned in an open space to facilitate network connection. The LED should extinguish once connection to the network is established.
3. Claiming Failure
- Ensure the breathing LED pattern has ceased, indicating that the station has successfully joined the Helium network.
- Check that the smartphone running the app has a stable internet connection to complete the claiming process.
4. Sparse Weather Data
- Ensure the station has Helium network coverage. Check that you're using 1.5V non-rechargeable batteries, and replace them if the station fails to transmit data overnight.
- You can monitor the battery status via the app to ensure continuous operation.
5. Sparse GPS Data
- Position the station with a clear view of the sky. Confirm network coverage and proximity to the nearest online gateway.
- Use high-quality 1.5V non-rechargeable batteries to ensure reliable GPS data transmission. Replace batteries if the station operates during the day but fails at night.
6. Bluetooth Issues
- Try connecting with a different smartphone if initial attempts fail.
- Stay close to the station during setup. Allow the device to manage Bluetooth connections automatically and avoid manually connecting through the phone’s settings as it can keep the station in a constant connection state.
7. Invalid Values
- In colder climates, opt for lithium 1.5V non-rechargeable batteries to ensure reliability.
- If values remain incorrect, reboot the station using the app or by pressing the station button quickly. Avoid long presses, as these will reset the station to factory settings.
- If the above options don't resolve the issue, remove the batteries from the station, cover the solar panel and leave the station in a dark room for 48h. After this period has passed, insert new high-quality 1.5V non-rechargeable batteries and mount the station.
8. Not Recording Rain
- Inspect and clean the rain cup if blocked. Test functionality by pouring water directly into it to simulate rain.
